St. Joseph’s Club
St. Joseph’s Club has been running for nearly 4 years now and in that time we have had over 22 different young people use our training facilities, come along to our training sessions and play for one of our league team. The club also has very strong links to its local community in Ahmedabad and to St. Joseph’s High School, Vijapur.
We are very proud of our achievements and the hard work of a lot of people connected with the club has also led to on-field success. Our team was winners in second division league in 2008, finalists of Fr. Donald Dias Tournament 2009 and Ahmedabad Senior League in 2009.We are also regularly invited for the R. C Saxena Memorial tournament in Vadodara regularly due to our consistent performance. The other tournaments we play are R. Madhavan Trophy & Thomas George Memorial Tournament. Our team practices at St. Xavier’s College campus and attracts a lot of crowd during the tournament .Our team comprises of players from various states namely Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Kerala, and local players from Gujarat. The team is now champion of Fr. Donald Dias tournament 2010.
