HOPE for All

Social Responsibility

“Education is a powerful medium that has the potential to affect the health, livelihood, security, and culture of the students, their parents and the community. There is no other way but for public and private school institutions to be involved in the bigger context, and to take responsibilities beyond academic development. “The responsibilities may be daunting but the possibilities are endless”
Social responsibility is an ethical ideology or theory that an entity, be it an organization or individual, has an obligation to act to benefit society at large. This responsibility can be passive, by avoiding engaging in socially harmful acts, or active, by performing activities that directly advance social goals.

We have a program “The Hope Touch” which encourages the underprivileged students to study at its campus in Palanpur and even provides them scholarship. Students come from far away areas of Banaskantha District and Gujarat with a hope to get education in English medium. Our aim is to reach the unreached through education.

It even provides teaching aids to different study center for the students and arrange annual function with nutritious food given to over 400 tribal students every quarter of the year.

It is associated with St. Joseph’s Club which organizes football tournament .The teams from slums are invited to participate in the tournament at no cost. It also has a team of its own named St. Joseph’s Football Club which is one of the top teams in Ahmedabad.

“Never before have human beings had such far-reaching impacts on one another’s social, political, economic and cultural lives. Never before have they possessed so much knowledge, and so much power to change their environment. And yet, the social institutions which should enable these new challenges to be met are working less and less well. In this context, every one of us must take up his or her responsibilities at both the individual and the collective level. Throughout human history, traditions of wisdom – religious and otherwise – have taught values, to guide human behavior towards a responsible attitude; their basic premise – still relevant today – has been that fundamental change in society is impossible without fundamental change in the individual.
